Swap Goodies,Ebay Listing, & Redos

Hello, everyone!! Yes, I'm still here and glad to be back posting. I have just been busy with normal things around the house. I was thinking once the kids were back in school last week, I would have more time to post. While doing some chores around the house, which are what the kids do in the summer to save me some time, it hit me!!! Because I didn't have my slave labor (they do get paid so don't feel too sorry for them), I actually had less time to post. Crazy!!

I participated in Char's swap and received my goodies last week. Mine came from Cindy at Our Primitive Heart She sent me so much stuff and it was all wrapped up and smelled great. I am finding homes for everything as I type!! Thanks for your generous gifts. I love them.

I have been working on a few things as well. I finished this Halloween pillow from Primitive Stitchin' by Shelly Auen. I just love her designs and so wish I could see really well to put them on osnaburg as she does. I have to go a little bigger count. Getting old is great, huh!! Anyway, I listed the pillow on eBay if anyone is interested. I found my acorns at Kohl's over the weekend. After seeing them, my son brought me three real ones and told me I should have just picked them up back at the woods. That thought had crossed my mind, but I didn't know if real ones would keep very well. I may have to try it.

Another project I just finished this morning was a set of shaker boxes I bought LAST summer. They had fall scenes on them and the original prices on each also. They would have cost over $50 originally. (Ugly and all!!) I bought them for $3 and love how they turned out. I think one is missing so I had to separate the set. I will be on the lookout for the missing size so I can have the set together. I have them in our bedroom.

I am also getting the little cupboard finished that I picked up a few weeks ago. I will post it next time. One last thing. I see so many of you have email gadgets with links to your email on your blogs. I have tried to do this but can't figure out how. If anyone could give me some advice, I would love it. I would like to start a selling blog also so I need to know how to add email. Also, those with selling blogs, do you just send invoices through pay pal when someone makes a purchase? Thanks for any info you can send along. You guys are great.

Have a great day and take care.

  1. Melissa,
Love your swap items & pinkeep. I never could see to stitch on the osnaberg either but got some cheater glasses from the dollar store & now I see fine with them.

  2. Great swap goodies!! I wish I could help you on the email thingy but I don't know how either. I'm sure someone will come along soon and know just what to do!!!

  3. Hi! Just a quick comment -- I read on someone else's blog, and I'm sorry that I can't remember, that real acorns can sometimes have worms. Somebody was warning about keeping the real ones as opposed to the fake ones.
Not sure if that's correct information, but thought I would pass it on in case.

  4. Melissa,
Great swap goodies!! Love the pumpkin doll!!

I'm not sure how you get the email button...I just have my email listed on my selling blog and yes I do on my invoicing through PayPal. It is very easy.

  5. Oh yes, you got some wonderful swap goodies :)
I love your pinkeep and your boxes too!

Have a wonderful week, HAPPY SEPTEMBER!

  6. Your swap goodies are great! I was the one that mentioned the possible worms in real acorns. Just bake them overnight on 200 and that solves that! Plus it dries them enough that they don't get moldy!!

  7. Melissa - love your blog site. Just found it today and will continue to keep up with it. I live in southern Ohio and too enjoy primitives. Your site is such an inspiration to me. Thanks for all the good ideas.

Thanks for stopping by. I truly appreciate it!! Have a wonderfully prim day!!~~Melissa
